Dear Students, Parents and Teachers,
Welcome to the St. Eugene Library!
All students in 1st-8th are welcome to visit the library on a flex schedule with classroom teacher's permission for book check out. Younger students will come in for storytime upon teacher request.
Programs:
Each year students (normally 3rd grade+) are encouraged to participate in the Oklahoma Sequoyah Award selection process by reading 3 or more of the nominated books, They will then be allowed to vote with the other students in Oklahoma for their favorite book.
Our 1st grade students participate in the Redbud Read-Aloud Award selection process during library time as well.
Resources:
Our library subscribes to several resources including OK Digital Prairie, Oklahoman Digital Archives, EBSCO, and encyclopedias online. If you do not have this info, please email Mrs. Hattaway. The Metro Library also has many great learning resources available - especially if your student has and knows their Metro library card number.
Our library is open to all students, their families and faculty. We are also able to offer a selection of Parent Resources and Professional Learning Resources. Check our OPAC or come in and ask Mrs. Hattaway if you have questions.
Students are also encouraged to visit any Oklahoma County Metropolitan Library System branch (like The Village Library) to check out books, audio books, e-books and more.
Happy Reading!
